Thanksgiving, Hair Cut, and My Birthday!

Hello guys.
I have been way busy lately. I haven't really gotten around to posting anything. So here is a little recap on how my life has been:
~I had a lovely Thanksgiving break! LOVED IT!! It was my first time home this whole semester. so sad...now I feel like everybody else... :P

~On Friday after Thanksgiving I got a hair cut. most excellent and quite beautiful. :D

BEFORE:

AFTER:

~On Saturday after Thanksgiving I passed from the realm of teenager-ness to the realm of in-between-ness; I am no longer a teenager and yet I am still not a 100 percent adult. It's like I don't exist. hahaha. jk. I am officially 2 decades old! yep, the big 2-0! weird, I know.

I also went and saw twilight for the second time on this day. I must say It was loads better the second time. I actually kind of hated it the first time I saw it. I was on the front row and couldn't really see any of it. I thought Edward was stupid...not smooth enough...but oh well. it was definitely better the second time. for one, I was more towards the back, so Edward didn't look as fat. :D

When I made my post about my last football game I forgot to mention that on my way to work this guy stopped me and said "smile, go to this website for your complimentary picture" I must admit I really like this picture. I am impressed.

Last Game of the Season!

Today was my last football game this season...the season isn't over, but it is for me. :)
I had to be to work at 9:45 this morning. I was early...that was nice.
I got my original position back. I was so excited.
As I was standing there doing my job, This elderly man...maybe 60's or 70's I dont know...he wasn't old like a shaky old...just white haired. well he came up and asked if I was married...I was like...uh...no. He then asked if I knew anyone getting married or something like that, because he owns this bed and breakfast in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho, and they want married people to go there. hahaha. He gave me his card with all his contact info and such. I was like ok...weird. haha he then asked if I had anyone chasing after me...I was like - nope. and he was like...well it's only 10 o' clock maybe that'll change when the game starts hahaha. that made me laugh.
so If anybody wants to spend their second honeymoon in Idaho... ;) ...I have the place for you... hahaha
kidding aside...So at the end of the game this man came out of my door. I was like I know that face...Then I realized it was Pres. Samuelsen. He patted my arm and said thank you and then ran down to the field...today was the "senior blanket day" thing...last home game.
Yeah interesting day...I'm gonna miss the football games but i'm glad I don't have to work for 6 hours at a time anymore...just 3. not nearly as bad. I was sooo bored today.

Oh and only 3 weeks from today until my birthday!! maybe I shouldn't be so excited...but I'm excited to leave my teenage years behind. I won't sound AS young... just slightly young...hahahaha

Basket Ball Game

Yesterday was my first time working in the Marriot Center. It was my first basket ball game. I was nervous. I was afraid I would mess up. Well they were right...it's pretty self explanatory. I had to go down to the floor at half time and at the end, and monitor people coming down... I almost got ranned over by the Canadian team. those guys are all so tall. well I got to use a KRONOS thing to check in and out...weird. Its pretty cool. I am gonna like these games, they are much shorter...

I came across a problem last night...I discovered that it is much easier to get into a basket ball game than it is to get into a football game...I mean attention grabbing-wise. yeah I have never liked basket ball but it is more interesting than football. I never would have thought. The only basket ball game I have ever been to was in 8th grade...Keller against O'Callaghan...

Spiders and Home Teachers

HAHAHAHAHA. ok. so, Nicole and I were watching food network and she says "Dont look by the door"
so, I did. I looked, and there was this nasty spider on our wall. It was sick. It was pretty big. I've killed bigger, but this one grossed me out. It was moving its legs a lot, and it was just sick looking. So I went to kill it but it fell and I didnt want to smash it in the carpet. so, we waited and it crawled back on the wall. meanwhile Nicole says I should call my home teacher hahahaha. actually she said my brothers first but I decided they would take too long. So I justified calling my home teacher because last week my roomate called her home teacher to come and dispose of some VERY rotten bananas...they were leaking...We didnt know they were there....we still have fruit flies all over from them. sick... so I called my home teacher...hehe I made sure he was close by. He asked what I needed and I said there was this really big spider I wanted him to kill hhahaha. He was like "really??" hahaha and I couldnt help but laugh. so while we waited for him to come, Nicole and I were looking at it...we were bent over, hands on knees, staring at it...same position hahaha if anyone would have walked in, they would have laughed. We were both capable of doing it, but neither of us wanted to. so my home teacher came and killed it. He thought it was funny...so did we hahaha. when he left he was like "I've never been called by my home teachee to kill a spider before." hahaha I figured it was good for him to preform that small service...I generally dont call on my home teachers to serve me so this was good. HAHAHA

Marriage and Family!!

Basically the forum today was the most amazing thing I have ever heard!
Robert P. George from Princeton University came and spoke about marriage and how it is between one man and one woman, and about abortion and how it is pretty much murdering a human being.
It was so good. I recommend you find it and read it or watch it. It was amazing!

speak of the famous!

I'm on an "I met famous people" rampage. Perhaps that word gives the wrong impression but it sounded good.

I will start with my Saturday:
~woke up at 7:45
~left the house at 9:00-ish
~arrived at work at 9:30-ish
~found out my station was moved...I usually work at the far south loge door. The girl that works at the south Middle door wasnt there, so they put me there because it is a little busier than where I usually work and they didnt want the new person to freak out...or something like that...
~talked to my co-workers who were a lot closer than usual.
~I heard someone in the loges above me yelling...? something about 'mike check'...he was just talking loud...I think it was the announcer guy practicing or something.
~I asked my co-workers what it was...they couldnt hear it...
~I went back to my spot and heard it again...this time they came to hear...the guy stopped when they got there...hahaha
~they thought I was crazy...just joking...
~they heard him finally
~He started to sing...weird.
~I told my co-workers; they said I should blog about it hahaha
~people started coming
~Found out there are a lot of well kown people that use that door.
~I met: a lot of people with the last name Quigley, a Sister Perry-I didnt read her first name...and I couldnt tell how old she was, Elder Gene R. Cook and his wife, Elder Steven R. Snow and a bunch of offspring-looking people with his last name.
~Donnie Osmond's nephews were seated just below me...I didnt recognize them...an old man asked them if they were related to Donnie. hahaha After that I realized how much he did look like him haha.
~Basically Donnie Osmond's brother talked to me and kinda got mad at me hahaha...how many people can say someone famous got mad at them???? ok, maybe a lot...He basically thought that he was entitled to use the elevator anytime he wanted (he thought u-box tickt holders were allowed in there anytime.) he wasnt mean about it. he respected my position. he just said the other people were wrong. haha
~I had compassoin and let his son/grandson/random little boy with him--whoever he was, use the bathroom
~someone inside the loge got mad at me for letting them in... it was scary, I thought I was gonna lose my job...I am making a bigger deal than it was, but I really was scared... the guy was like dont let people in. I was like sorry, I didnt know. first time working at this door. the guy was like ok. then my advisor said I was doing just fine and not to worry haha.

That was my saturday of famous people...exciting huh?

Proof

Yeah I just went on his site and I found my picture...it's not the cutest but hey, it's genuine. They took one of us both looking at the camera... all cute and side hug-like... but apparently this one was the best...

Old-ish memories...

I completely forgot to blog about this, but I think it is worth documenting.

A couple of weeks ago I was sitting in the Terrace of the Wilk. I saw a huge line forming just inside the bookstore, so I went to check it out...Kirby Heyborne was in there selling movies, Cd's and just taking pictures and signing autographs.
I didn't have class for another half hour, so I grabbed a friend and we stood in line for a bit. I knew I wasn't going to get to the front before my class, but I wanted to see how far I would get. We barely made it inside the bookstore doors before I had to leave. I had my friend's friend take a pic of me in front of Kirby to prove that I was in line, and that I was there. (She never got the picture to me...sad day.)
Anyways, so I went to class. It was my ASL class and we had an "oral" exam that day so I went in, presented my story, and left. I thought I would see how far my friend got while I was gone. They were right up front! so I jumped back in line and was the next in line. It was great. I had just taken an exam so I was shaky and nervous, so when I met Kirby he probably thought I was his biggest fan...I wasn't freaking out about him. gee. hahaha. I shook his hand and he pulled me into a hug and then he heard my name and was very intrigued haha. he is a little bit weird... :)
He signed my planner and then I had to go. (while he was talking to me he had his hand on my elbow...weird...) then he gave me another hug and they took a picture and stuff...maybe I'll find my picture on his website...IDK. yeah. so pretty much I met Kirby Heyborne. It was cool...

Pyrex.

Today I dropped my Pyrex pan... :'( really, I almost cried. I was holding it, getting ready to cook some yummy chicken broccoli casserole, and my roommate walked past me and knocked it out of my hand. It shattered...tear... So I called up my wonderful sister Theresa and she supplied me with a new one almost equally as cool. Thanks Theresa!
Here is the finished product.

Babysitting.

I am posting this because people want to hear from me...I'm sure hahaha.

On Friday I planned to go to Divine Comedy. It was excellent. The headliner was the Lion King...(Cougar King).

My FHE mom, and next door neighbor, is a Mary Kay consultant. She scheduled me for a free color class thing. Basically, I went to her apt and she told me how to do my makeup better...? and gave me ideas for colors and shades to use. I already did my own makeup; she just showed me things to do that have different effects...like where to put my eyeshadow on my kind-of-deep-set eyes so they dont look kind-of-deep-set. That was fun and interesting to learn. I got a free compact...it's empty haha. I have to buy anything I want to put in it.

So, my makeup was all done for Divine Comedy. I even had lipstick on...weird, but it looked nice. My brothers noticed, haha. I felt special. They took us (me and Nicole) to dinner afterward. We had some delicious Burger Supreme.

Today I slept in...(it is still Saturday even though it is techniquely Sunday.) That was nice. I tried doing my makeup similar to how Nikki (my FHE mom) showed me. I tried to curl my hair using a flat iron (straightener). It worked out pretty good. I took lots of pictures...I'm vain...

I pulled out my broken Web Cam to see if it would work on my laptop. It did! I talked to my momma and dadda on web cam. (I still can't get the microphone part to work.) Since I pulled out my web cam I decided to take pictures of myself to test it out. I may have gotten a little crazy...(I have a serious lack of camera use in my life right now, so I was trying to make up for it.) You can find those pictures on facebook.

I got to babysit my niece, Eliza! She is getting soo big. she is now 6 months old! I pulled out my camera and took pictures of her for everyone to see because nobody has seen any lately. Now everyone will love me... :D. ....I'll have you know, it is hard to take pictures, by yourself, of a baby who doesnt like to be put down.

Kyle and Jenny told me to put her to bed cause she was tired, and that she would get up in a little and be hungry...I put her to sleep. She slept the whole time...So, I decided to do the dishes...and I even cleaned the stove and front of the oven...when I was done I pulled out my piano homework and got to practicing...for the last half hour. (Kyle and Jenny went to the opera at BYU. They left at 7-ish and got home about 10-ish or later.)
My piano skills are coming along pretty good. I am impressed with my sweet skills.

Kyle's and Jenny's piano is old, so it sounds old...almost out of tune...so it had this eerie sound to it. The song I was practicing is called Lament...so it was kind of creepy...when they got home I jumped...haha :D.
There you go.

Informing and Catching up

I almost started this post with "so,...." haha. I decided that is how I always start them, so I am trying a new thing...starting it with something else... Amazing!
I wanted to catch up my blog on my life.
I have been sick...not fun! I started getting sick on Sunday of general conference. I was still "getting sick" on Monday.
On Tuesday I stopped fighting the truth and admitted I was sick. I got a blessing...thanks to my very wonderful brothers.
On Wednesday I was "worse", I couldnt think at all in my classes. it was not fun.
On Thursday I felt better! I was so excited.
On Friday I felt better even still, but the sencond I left the house, I almost died...IT WAS SOOO COLD!!! I had to work on Sat. I was affraid I would get sick again, or more, or whatever because I wasnt fully recovered. and it was supposed to snow on Sat.
ugh.
so I bundled up a lot because I work outside: I have to stand on almost the highest point of the stadium for 6 hours. I get a ten minute break where I maybe get a small bag of chips and sit for maybe 5 mins. I was very affraid for my health.
It worked out ok. they gave me one hand warmer.
...fun story...
So I thought about taking a beanie to wear, but I decided it might not be THAT cold. so I went to work. My ears were FREEZING!!!!! I couldnt believe how dumb I was. the reason I dont like beanies is because they always slide off my head, and they are always more of a nuisance than a help. Todd got this one beanie last year that looked different; it looked like it would actually stay on my head. I never tried it on but I always dreamed that it was the perfect beanie for me....so back to my story...so Todd came to visit me beofre the game yesterday. I always bug him about never coming with Seth and Skyler at half time... so that was neat. Todd had on the beanie that i love...I looked at him and half seriously asked if he happened to have an extra one. He pulled one out of his pocket!!!!!!! I almost died hahaha. He told me that they were passing out free ones again this year. (thats how he got his last year.) he said He thought about getting one and was like "I dont need another...I'll get one for Benji"...(he came up for the game). so Todd got an extra and it "just happened" that I needed one hahaha so he decided I could have it!!! THANK YOU TODDY!! (there are no such things as accidents.) Heavenly Father knew I was gonna be dumb and not bring a beanie and that I would deffinately need one. He got Todd to get an extra. I know it. :)
anyways the game was fun. sorta. my favorite part was the three little 7ish year old boys that were playing around by me. they were cute. they each got hand warmers and I told them how to use them the best and they just made me laugh. I told them that the prsident sat in the box behind where I stand and they were like "the president of the united states??" haha I tried to explain that it was the president of BYU and they were like "Brigham Young??"
Ok. I'm done talking about my sick weekend...pun intended...jk haha.
Today I decided to make a shopping list for tomorrow. I go shopping on Mondays. I decided I should plan my meals so that I have a plan and can use my money and food the best I can.
So I feel aldult-ish...I made my dinner menu for the whole week and I can't wait to make all the yummy food.
It snowed today...it even hailed a little. ugh....nothing stuck...but it's still cold...I like the snow and the cold but I have decided that I would much rather live in a hot place...a dessert... hopefully the man I marry agrees. :)
I got a letter from my good friend Kristie Michelsen. she is serving a mission in Chile. she leaves the MTC tomorrow...Monday the 13th. she says hello to all. she is gonna be a great influence on the people of Chile.
I should not be awake right now.
Goodnight!

ps.hahaha I posted this and was re-reading it and noticed that I wrote dessert and not desert...I'm gonna leave it.haha

GLASSES

so I pretty much have always wanted to wear glasses. Ever since I was little and Cynthia had them; I always wanted them. Everyone told me I would hate them and that they would bug me... so I was like whatever... well in my senior year of high school I started to notice that I couldn't see as well as I always thought I could. I went to the eye doctor, and sure enough! He gave me glasses. The minute I put them on-I loved them! They didn't bug me. They just sat there on my face and blended in...and as a plus-I could actually see a lot of things I never realized that I couldn't see. For example: colors are so much brighter with my glasses, and if you know me you know that I love to look at colors! also I love looking at trees...the leaves are so beautiful through my glasses! everything is just so much sharper and prettier and a lot more interesting to look at! So anyway, it has been almost 2 years since I got my first pair of glasses. they got scratched and I noticed that i couldn't see the same out of them. Everything was becoming a little dull again. It wasn't drastic or anything, just a slight difference in my right eye. So I finally made it to the eye doctor again and he got me a new perscription. The only problem with glasses was that I couldn't wear sunglasses. My eyes are sensitive to light and so I always squint. I'm sure I walk around campus with an expression like I'm ready to kill. So I got some perscription sunglasses...I'm not sure if I'm ready for contacts. The doctor said he wouldn't recommend them to me. Anyway, so I have been waiting for those to come...my new pair of glasses and sunglasses. The regular pair came in scratched so they sent them back. Then the sunglasses came in without tint, so they sent those back. Well finally they made it back safe, and they were mailed to me. I now have my new glasses and my new sunglasses! I can see and I can't believe how much of a difference it makes! "I can see clearly now"-- thats what Nicole sings to me every time I mention how wonderful it is that I can see!
The End.

summer!

So summer is over. It was my favorite semester at BYU so far. Well...it was a term really. I got A's and B+'s. My dance class was the best. I made loads of new friends.
So summer is over and I went home...we went to Disneyland!! It was soo much fun! Then I came up to BYU again. I'm excited to see all my old friends I haven't seen in a while.
I moved into my new apartment...King Henry. It's nice. I'm a little nervous for school... we live kinda far away. It wont be like in the summer because the bus doesnt come as late as the one over the summer did.
I got a job! I'm an usher at the football games. I worked my first game on sat. It was so much fun!
I'm really looking forward to this year...hopefully my classes aren't too bad. and hopefully I can cope.
I'm a little stressed out...mostly cause everything is soo new...new roomates...new number of roomates...new apartment...new job...new semester...I just need to get the hang of it, get back into a groove. I hope I adjust fast.

SP-SP-SP-SPIDER!!!!!!!

So, it wasn't exactly a spider, but...it was a really big bug and it was hissing at me!

You know when spiders do this...

well that's what this really large cockroach-thing was doing. (maybe it was a Madagascar Hissing cockroach that escaped Fear Factor and was wreaking havoc all over the country!)

Here's what happened...

I went to take the dogs out last night and I opened the door and stepped outside, and on our steps right in front of me was this huge brown-black thing hissing at me. I couldn't see exactly what it was because it was dark, it was directly facing me, and it was reared up on its hind legs. I decided it was one of those really huge poisonous spiders and that it was spitting poison at me. So, I immediately ran inside and yelled for Theresa. She came downstairs, looked out the window, and tried to tell me it is a water beetle. I didn't believe her because giant cockroaches don't spit poison, and they don't get up on their hind legs like that. She continued to insist it was a water beetle, so I looked through the peep hole and I saw that it was infact, a giant cockroach. So I told her there is no way she was getting me out there to get rid of it. She made a comment about wishing Dan were here, and then mentioned that we should get Seth to come take care of it. But, she was brave and took a broom and went out there. I made her close the door in case it could fly. She whacked it pretty good then used the dust pan to get it back up on the sidewalk then she whacked it again and it wasn't putting up any resistance( 'he stopped moving kish') and then she whacked it again and dust-panned it down the sidewalk away from the house. After all that, she still made me take the dogs out. So I made her stay there and make sure there weren't any more giant cockroaches ready to attack. It was very scary and luckily I didn't have nightmares. When I went to take the dogs out again this morning, the giant cockroach was still on its back where Theresa left it. Its legs were still moving--gross! (Those things survive everything. Just ask Wall~E) It is now gone, and I don't know where it is. I just hope it doesn't come back for revenge...

Disclaimer: I was going to take a picture of it after I took the dogs out this morning, but when I was bringing them back inside, it was gone. So, neither of these pictures were taken by me; I googled for them.

good news guys!!!

So I got my grades for Spring Term... I got and A in Biology and a B in American Heritage! I like those grades haha. So, yesterday, I got my scholarship letter...I got the scholarship for fall and winter!!!! I'm so excited...mostly cause my mom thinks I dont try hard enough haha--I mean working wise..I dont try and get a job, I'm lazy, I stay at home all day...but the truth is I just think about my classes, and I try to do well in them, and then I do do well...I dont do do--that is a wierd thing to try to express haha.

I hope you dont think my mom thinks ill of me. she just hopes I dont waste my life doing nothing when I could be making something of myself. That's why I'm excited I got the scholarship, so I dont have quite as much pressure to get a job hahaha...I'll still be looking of course.

New Appreciation!!!

so I have developped a new appreciation for Ignacio...aka Nacho...aka the Luchador. while I am here at Theresa's house, I have cooking duty... dead grass duty...dead bird duty. And rice making duty( isnt that like cooking duty?) haha. so I always cook dinner thats just how it goes :P. then today we were outside making some final touches on regrowing the grass and Theresa made me pick up the dead baby bird that was in the middle of the grass it was very nasty. it was like a new hatchling or an embryo. dont worry I did not drink the yoke for magical eagle powers. but I did use paper towels and a plastic baggy. she also made me pick up all the dead grass she unearthed haha. and then she told me to make rice because only I can do it apparently (I already had this posted and Theresa wanted me to add rice to my duties haha) so yeah! I felt like laughing about being like nacho!!! haha

Spring/Summer

So I've moved in with Theresa. Dan is gone for the summer so I get to do his chores and keep Theresa busy hehe. I've been here one day and its pretty good. the bed is better than I've had for a while. my Wyview bed was too hard and my trundle back home is too wiggly hahah. but it's nice here. I start school tomorrow. I'm excited!! well, as excited as I can be. I took the bus today to try it out. I went to buy books. as I was printing the list someone tapped me on the shoulder so I turned around and didnt recognize anyone haha but then the guy that did it pointed behind him and I saw nathanael hiding behind a bookshelf hahah. turns out he told his new roomie to tap my shoulder hahah. it was funny.

General Conference

Hello again all. It's General Conference weekend and well my roomates and I decided to go see the Solemn Assembly live. We didn't have tckets so we had to do stand by. Let me just tell you it was rough. We got up at 2:00 this morning and headed for Salt Lake at about 3:00. We arrived at 3:45 and were like the 3rd group in line so we were right up front I was number 7. Anyway, so we had to stand in line for 6 hours. It was so cold. But it was sooo coool though!!!! We were there live for the first time there was a solemn assembly in the conference center. Basically I was present at a Historical event! muhahaha. Anyways I am way tired so I will sleep now. Good night everybody!

Hello

Hello people. I have decided to make a post on my blog muhahaha. I think I shall state some personal goals and dreams that I have. Maybe I will accomplish them this way :).
I have decided to learn how to type the real way, with all the right fingers and capitalizing when needed and the like. well I guess I'll just start with the capitalizing and stuff haha. I need that cool program that I can't remember the name of, with the cameleon that eats the letters you type haha.
I have also decided to keep more on top of things and more prepared for things like tests and projects and journal writing and scripture reading and the like.
I think it is important for me to take on this new stage in my life. Maybe I'll feel more adult like haha. yeah right.
well this was a nice chat thank you!
